I used to like both buildings but hated having to go from one to the other in between lessons. That free bus used to be dreadful. Kids fighting and allsorts. Sometimes it was better to walk.

I remember the bus right, if there wasn't fighting going on everyone was rocking the bus like a rocking horse. I think the science labs at the Brushes were great with all the old cupboards and stuff it was such a shame it had to be knocked down

Loved the Brushes building best, much more character. I loved the main staircase and the amazing fireplaces in the 6th form common room (before they moved the library and the common room around) and the main foyer, and of course, who could forget the tower..... had economics in one of the tower rooms.

By the way...did anyone go to the final closing just before it was demolished?....I have a disc of the reunion of it, greatfully provided by Pete Frith.

Brushes getting burnt down twice while the fireman strike was on was dodgey and oh look they had the plans all ready for the new manky building thats up now. It's a shame because Brushes was part of firth park/the oval history. Can't believe it was allowed to happen. Don't be naive people
